Frank Guinta - The REAL public record!

-

-

Manchester, NH, Mayor Frank Guinta FALSELY touted his public record on Monday, May 11, 2009 --the same day he announced his candidacy for US Congress--, falsely saying he proposed four balanced budgets, lowered taxes, kept spending below the rate of inflation and found efficiencies though agency consolidations while adding police officers, a crime data-tracking system and boosting economic development.

However, critics point out that Manchester's crime rates are on the raise, 19 city schools are in need of improvements and cuts to essential services and labor are on the table despite his promises to deliver otherwise. Moreover, Mayor Frank Guinta has, indeed, raised taxes above the rate of inflation, substantially raised fees, supported new Saturday downtown parking fees, diminished emergency or "rainy day" and one-time accounts, and complemented public funds away from the city's public educational system to special interest projects. Since Frank Guinta took the mayoral office, hundreds of local jobs have been lost and there are more, not less, empty storefronts in the city's downtown business district.

Media descriptions of Frank Guinta portray him as his national (Republican) party's chosen candidate — a dicey description considering New Hampshire's resistance to outsiders dictating elections. Moreover, Frank Guinta has been bashing federal spending, the economic stimulus bill and the Employee Free Choice Act!
